Zeise Scores First Goal for Tigers
September 2, 2010
Rachel Zeise scored the first goal in school history on Tuesday against St. John School in Hapeville. Unfortunately, Zeise’s effort wasn’t enough as the Tigers fell 5-1 in the “B” game. In the “A” game, the Tigers had a few opportunities to score but were unable to put the ball in the net, losing to last year’s conference champions by a final of 8-0.
According to Coach Geeter, “Overall, we are an inexperienced team and with every match we’re gaining valuable experience that is going to pay off. In spite of the final scores, we saw improvement from everyone and some really good efforts from individual players.”
The team will also be in action Thursday in Tyrone at Our Lady of Victory, beginning at 4:30 pm.
