Boys Track Wins Conference Championship

Odyssey’s boys’ track team recently won their first PAC Conference Track Championship, finishing first in the meet held at Our Lady of Mercy. The boys’ team won both relay races (4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meters) and one individual contest, with Eric Geeter winning the 400 meters. However, the Tigers accumulated significant points in almost every other event at the meet which allowed them to beat their closest competitor by 43 points.

The girls’ track team finished the meet with a strong 3rd place finish, 10 points behind the 2nd place team, Our Lady of Victory.

Congratulations to Coach Nsa Austin and our track teams.

Tigers Finish Second in Conference Tournament

February 14, 2013

The Odyssey Lady Tigers fought a lost a hard-fought battle to OLV on Thursday in the finals of the PAC Basketball Tournament. In front of a boisterous crowd at the Our Lady of Victory gym, the Tigers dominated the first half, taking a 17-13 lead into the break. However, the Patriots made adjustments to their game plan in the second half, outscoring Odyssey 28 points to 6 in the final half to take a 41-26 victory. Janaya Strickland was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 16 points and Sarah Vallery contributing 6 points.

The second place finish is the highest finish ever for a basketball team at Odyssey. Congratulations to Coach Nsa Austin and the team for a great tournament.
