About Odyssey Charter School
Mission
To provide a challenging, high-quality education that creates an enthusiasm for learning through an innovative, hands-on curriculum while maintaining a focus on the needs of each student.
History
Odyssey School was the first state-approved charter school in Georgia, obtaining approval from the Georgia State Board of Education in 2001. A public school of choice, we opened in August 2004 with approximately 120 students, serving grades K-5. In the 2008-2009 school year, Odyssey added 6th grade classes. For the 2009-2010 school year, Odyssey will expand to 7th grade and enrollment is expected to be around 240, out of 500 allowed under the school's current charter.
