The Odyssey School admission lottery for the 2010-2011 school year was held on February 1 at the school. The lottery included all applicants who submitted completed paperwork by 5:00 pm that afternoon. At this point, most classes have short wait lists. If you are interested in admission for the next school year, you are invited to complete the required application materials and submit them to the school as soon as possible. Applications are available by clicking on the School Info button and then the Enrollment link. Please contact the Odyssey School office with any questions.

It is Odyssey School’s policy to close when the Coweta County School System closes due to weather emergencies. If school systems are forced to close due to snow, ice, hurricanes, floods, etc., tune into a local or metro Atlanta news outlet. If the announcement is made that Coweta County Schools are closed, then it is safe to assume that Odyssey School is also closed.If possible, a parent e-mail will be sent out and the web site updated.

Thanks to everyone who participated and/or volunteered during our Barnes and Noble fundraiser. I am pleased to report that the school library will receive credit for at least $1,282 worth of books from Barnes and Noble.

Odyssey recently concluded our Operation Adopt a Platoon drive, providing care package items for a platoon of 35 men from the 28th Infantry Regiment of the First Battalion of the First Division out of Fort Riley, Kansas, currently stationed in Iraq. One of the members of the platoon is the brother of one of our students.

We are proud to announce that Odyssey exceeded our goal of filling 35 boxes by over 100%, providing enough personal items for 71 boxes.

A special thanks to Meri FitzHenry for organizing this campaign and to our Odyssey families for their donations, which will help brighten the holidays for our troops serving overseas.
